Story
Freeda exists to protect and empower women and children affected by abuse and seeks to eliminate Domestic Violence through awareness and education.
On Friday December 13th, I will be taking a number - in fact many, many - cold and icy steps to help Freeda by taking on the worlds most southerly marathon: Antarctica!
Apart from running the 42.195 kilometres, I will need to combat the -20 degrees of cold, some fierce and icy cross winds and hope for no altitude sickness as the terrain will be at 700 metres above sea level.
If you can support me in supporting Freeda and help keep some of the most vulnerable people in society free of fear, hurt and anguish, your generosity will be helping out in ways that most of us will hopefully never have to experience.
Thank you - and if we can help even one person have a safe and peaceful Christmas this year, it will be extra special!
Just added some photos below from yesterday's training run. Not really representative conditions (temperature 31c) but a run's a run!
