Story
The 28th of April this year marks the 5 year anniversary of my Brain Tumour diagnosis 🧠. Thanks to some truly amazing people and healthcare services, the 30th of May is the 5 year anniversary of a successful 10 hour operation to remove it. 🔪
To mark the occasion, spread awareness and give a little back, my amazing partner Jo and I are embarking on a running adventure slightly out of the ordinary 🏃. On the 24th of May we will set off to run a half marathon, in the sandy Wadi Rum desert in Jordan 🇯🇴, sunset into dusk, under the stars and a full moon! 🏜️
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable! 😤
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help us fund the fight & find a cure. 🙌🏻
So the training has started - but that's not it! They say 2 halves make a whole - so we'll also be running the Great Welsh Half Marathon in Llanelli on the 17th of March as a little warm up to the big one 🏴 Not as many sandy dunes in Wales though...🏝️
Please support us if you can and spread the word, it really does mean a lot to a great and much needed cause. And if you'd like to learn more about my story do get in touch. Thank you!
