Story
Lola is 3 and has cerebral palsy. She will be taking on a huge superhero challenge (as part of the Superhero Series Race: the UK’s one & only disability sports series for the Everyday Superhero) and attempting to walk and cycle 14 miles over a month to raise money for The Movement Centre in Oswestry.
Lola is currently taking part in a year long programme with The Movement Centre to build strength and stability with the goal of one day being able to stand independently. They have kindly loaned Lola a bespoke standing frame which Lola uses daily to challenge her core muscles. We have been able to access the programme free of charge, and would love to give back so that more children can benefit in the same way as Lola.
Lola will cycle or walk round the block (half a mile) everyday for a month on her trike or in her Upsee/Walking Frame (and occasionally in her pushchair or on mum or dads backs) which will add up to 14 miles in total. It's a big challenge, but little Lola is going to smash it!
