I have been lucky enough this year to get through by ballot! I loved it so much last year and I cannot wait to do it all again...

This year I am fundraising for My WiSH Charity. They are raising money money for the G4 ward (elderly patients many of whom have Dementia) They are funding an activity assistant for the ward. The role of the assistant will be giving the patients more 1:1 time, helping support at meal times (which will lead to better nutrition) taking walks down the memory walk, talking, group activities like bingo & cards etc.

This role will have a huge impact on the patients. To have a member of staff dedicated to engaging with patients to help maintain their cognitive skills while in hospital will be of enormous value!!

My WiSH Charity enhances the care patients at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust receive. This comprises of; West Suffolk Hospital, Newmarket Community Hospital and community services in Suffolk.

We fundraise for all wards, depts and services. We support everything from emergency to the elderly, bones to babies, and cataract to cancer care. You donate to the area closest to your heart.
