Story

I am taking part in a Brain Tumour Research Jump for Hope on the 8th June 2024 at Whitchurch Shropshire.

On the 23rd April of this year, my mom, Susan Forrester sadly died. She had been ill for over 3 years and they eventually found that Mom had a Brain Tumour. Mom had surgery to remove the tumour on the 20th April but sadly due to complications she never woke up from the surgery and died a few days later. She was only 61 years old. We later found out that the tumour in moms brain was a secondary tumour so Mom had a tumour somewhere else but we never found out where.

Mom was an amazing woman. She was so kind and thoughtful, putting everyone before herself. Even when she was so poorly, she never moaned or let it stop her. She was so brave and strong, she has left a massive hole in my heart and in everyone's who knew her. She was a beautiful Mom, Nanny, wife and sister and we were all so so lucky to have had her in our lives.

I want to do the sky dive in memory of mom, for all those beautiful memories she has given me and as a thank you for being such an amazing woman. I'm so lucky to have had her in my life but just wish I had more time with her or even been given the chance to say a proper goodbye to her.

I hope the money raised for this sky dive will help prevent families from feeling the way that me and my family now feel.

Please give what you can, every bit will make a difference to funding Brain Tumour Research so that other angels, like my mom, aren't taken too soon.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
