This year, I will take on the challenge of three ultra marathons within 3 months, to raise awareness about the obstacles facing dental health around the world.

I'm eager to showcase our unwavering passion as dental care professionals, dedicated to propelling dentistry forward in a positive light and ensuring everyone receives the vital care they deserve.

The races include the Jurassic Coast, Cotswold, and the Peak District, each completed within a 24-hour timeframe. It will be my first time tackling such a demanding terrain over such extensive distances.

Dentaid, the Dental Charity, is dedicated to enhancing global oral health. Tragically, 1.7 billion individuals worldwide suffer from toothaches, and a staggering 70% of the population lacks access to dental care.

Dentaid's international efforts involve bolstering dental professionals in some of the most impoverished and isolated communities globally. Through supplying refurbished dental equipment and portable clinics, Dentaid enables greater accessibility to dental treatment for numerous patients.

Within the UK, the charity operates eight mobile dental units, visiting night shelters, day centers, and soup kitchens to offer complimentary outreach dental care to individuals facing homelessness. These mobile units are staffed by volunteer dental professionals who provide screenings, emergency pain relief treatments, and valuable oral health guidance to the most vulnerable members of our society

NB all events, training and travel are paid for by myself. 100% of the donations go to the charity.
