We have chosen to support Child Bereavement UK over the coming year, which is an amazing charity that helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. They support children and young adults when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.

This charity is extremely close to our hearts – especially to one of our Recruitment Consultants in the team – Maisie Horrell who sadly lost her nine-year-old younger brother (Harrison) in a tragic skiing accident in 2007. The sudden loss of such a kind, loving and selfless boy left a huge hole in Maisie and her family’s lives, but with the support from friends and the professionals at Child Bereavement UK they have managed to rebuild their lives and leave a legacy for Harrison behind. Maisie and the rest of Pro-Recruitment Group want to raise money to help other children and families who have faced loss.

Over the next 12 months we will be working hard here at Pro to reach this target. Firstly, we shall donate £10 of every placement we make at Pro, which will go straight to Child Bereavement. We will also set ourselves a series of challenges that will involve mental agility, fitness, time, and effort in order to raise money and collect donations. This charity runs solely on fund raising and they need as much help as we can give!

Their mission is to tackle the inequalities that exist in the availability, accessibility and quality of bereavement support and training across the UK and to build capacity within communities to manage the impact of child bereavement. We are looking forward to helping them work towards this mission and we would greatly appreciate any donation towards supporting this incredible charity.
