Story
We are Louis, Matt, Sean and Gaz 4 emergency service workers from Greater Manchester looking to set milestones and achieve challenging goals outside of our day to day line of work.
This is something new to us which we have never done before but our resilience will help us to complete a number of challenges which will gradually get harder as they progress. Ultimately, pushing us to our absolute maximum.
Our purpose of this journey is for Springhill Hospice which is a charitable organisation based in Rochdale that support people with life limiting illnesses including physical, emotional and psychological care. They work in such a way where they encourage patients to be as independent as they can be whilst ensuring their dignity is maintained and respecting their privacy.
The care and support they offer starts from the time of the referral made to the hospice and continues up until the bereavement period. Following this they support families by offering post bereavement therapies and counselling.
Our first mission is set Friday 26th May 2023 where we will start our journey by completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in 12 hours!
Followed by the National 3 Peaks in 24 hours and Cairngorms 4000 in 24 hours throughout the year. THEN … progressing on to other challenges across Europe next year.
