Story
For DoddieAid 2024 teams of cyclists from all over the UK will propel themselves acrosss Europe through the bitter March weather to reach Rome ahead of the Scotland v Italy Six Nations match on 9th March. All this being done to raise funds for the fight against MND.
Anthony Stodart, Chris Lockett, James Fisher & Mark Morriss, ably supported by 7 others will "Need a Northerly" wind as they cycle in a non-stop relay from Scotland to Italy. Leaving from North Berwick Rugby Club at 7.30pm on Sunday 3rd March, they aim to ride to Rome arriving by 12noon on Friday 8th March alongside the other teams and the match ball. 1650 miles and 71,400ft of ascent ( 2 x Everests!) in 4.5 days with little sleep, very sore arses and some serious weight loss (much needed in Stods' case!).
All for a great cause fighting to defeat the dreadful Motor Neurone Disease.
