Story

On 08/09/24, I will take part in a 108 mile bike ride from Stoke, to Llangollen, and back, in memory of one of my best friends in the world- Will.

Will was a one in eight billion kind of guy, and I am privileged to have so many great memories shared with him. We used to play a lot of sport together (him winning 99% of the time), so I thought that doing a sporting challenge to honour him would be a good idea. I know that if he were still around, he'd be the first person to take on this challenge with me.

Even in his last few months, Will's infectious positivity inspired me. He will always be my hero. I discussed the idea of this bike ride with him. Some of his other mates had already raised an amazing amount of money for 'Maggies' who helped to care for him, so Will suggested I raise money for a charity more local to Staffordshire. I can't think of a charity more fitting than the Dougie Mac.
