Story
7 - 10 year olds Molly, Bessie, Frances, James, Eddie L, Eleanor, Elodie and Eddie D (try to say it 3 times really fast!) are taking on a big challenge this Sunday, for a great cause they are keen to support. They will swim in New Mills, cycle the 5 km to Hayfield, then scale Lantern Pike (4km), finishing in the play area where they will try to muster the energy to have a swing!
The children are fundraising to support the DEC Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal.
Over 40,000 people have died so far in Turkey and Syria, and many more have been injured and displaced.
Buildings have collapsed and the numbers are expected to rise as the search for survivors continues in both countries.
Please give generously to support their response on the ground to the immediate aftermath of this disaster by providing emergency support in the way of shelter, warm clothing and food to everyone who has lost their homes and are out on the streets.
- £10 could provide blankets for two people to keep them warm
- £50 could provide emergency food for two families for 10 days
- £100 could provide emergency shelter for four families
Thank you for helping our little ones to make a big difference in such a drastic situation.
