Story
2023 was the year I was meant to be celebrating being ten years brain tumour free. However on January 12th of this year, my life changed forever again.
Ten years ago, I was told I had 5% chance of surviving my brain tumour and had to learn how to use my arms and how to walk again, at the age of just 18.
Fast forward to the beginning of 2023, I walk in to what I believe is my final sign off appointment after being monitored the past ten years. To my shock and absolute horror, I was told my brain tumour had grown back.
The nightmare was starting again.
The future is very uncertain and unknown for now, but what I do know is I love a good fundraiser! I am raising money for the charity Brain Tumour Research and taking part in their 'Skip 10 Minutes a Day in November' challenge. I'm definitely not the most physically fit and with my current brain tumour symptoms making me a lot weaker and less able than I used to be, this definitely will be a challenge!
A big thank you to those who donate and share my story - your help and support will help save mine and many others lives in the future.
