On the 9th August 2025 Matt Michette, Kev Kitcher, Steve Johnston and Geoff Clampin who are retired Grenadier Guardsmen with their admin team begin a journey walking Suffolks country side covering 130 miles of which 105 miles is walking through a series of checkpoints and RV’s which are Grenadier Guards graves and memorials where we will lay wreathes and plant poppy crosses to remember our fallen Grenadier heroes including Guardsman Glen Ling who was killed in Crossmaglen in 1978 and Crimean war hero Alfred Ablett our Suffolk VC and with your help and support we want to raise £10,000 for the Colonels Fund which supports our Grenadier bereaved families and wounded veterans since the Second World War, in this year of the 80th Anniversary of the end of WW2.
