Story
My name is Jonathan, and I have lived in Andover for 30 years. I was born with a genetic disorder and use an electric wheelchair. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer, so I have been going through my bucket list.
I have been to three of the Six Nations rugby matches in Cardiff, seen various theatre productions, and been in the London Eye. I adore fast cars, and if I am well enough my Dad and I have tickets for Thruxton Touring cars, and the Silverstone Formula 1.
One of my other bucket list wishes is to raise money for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice who are looking after me. Because of my physical limitations I can’t abseil down the Spinnaker Tower or whiz around a race track, so I thought - well, how about having my hair dyed shocking pink? Then spend a few weeks with my new hair colour, and then have it all shaved off.
Please sponsor me and help to raise lots of money for a very worthy cause.
The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers.
We are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care we provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
