Story
Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My father had his prostate removed and died aged 59. This together with my age (77 in February 2024) and the result of my latest PSA test evidences my increased level of risk, I have decided to support the ongoing work of Prostate Cancer Uk.
In its early stages, for most men, prostate cancer does not display any symptoms. That is why it is important to find out about the risk it may pose to you and to have yourself checked by your GP.
Prostate cancer is very common. In the UK, 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Whilst it often grows too slowly to cause any problems, some prostate cancers can grow more quickly and or more likely to spread.
Prostate Cancer is now the most common form of cancer in the UK causing up to 50,000 cases and 12,000 deaths every year.
I aim to try and raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK through donations, by walking 2,000 miles in 2024, starting on 1st. January. 2024.
I hope you will feel able to support me and this amazing Charity. Thankyou.
