My aim is to do the 4 Kiltwalks in 2023 and so far I have completed 3 of them....On 30 April, Glasgow to Balloch covering 23 miles in 8 hours in very wet conditions....on 4 June, Banchory to Aberdeen covering 18 miles in just over 5 hours in sunny weather....on 20 August, St Andrews to Dundee covering 20 miles in just over 6 hours in warm conditions....The remaining Kiltwalk is on 17 September in Edinburgh covering 21 miles, which will hopefully bring my 2023 distance "Kiltwalked" to 82 miles....not bad for an auld yin although my feet, particularly my heels and toes, will be due a wee bit of a rest after that!

The chosen charity for the Glasgow event was Drake Music Scotland which I did as part of the Westerton Male Voice Choir team....the CHOSEN CHARITY for this separate and individual fundraising effort is ALZHEIMER SCOTLAND in respect of the ABERDEEN, DUNDEE and EDINBURGH KILTWALKS....I recognise that times are tough financially for a lot of folk but if you can support my efforts in any way, this will be greatly appreciated....it's for a very worthwhile cause which hopefully will help further research for a greater understanding of the causes and possible cures for this very distressing and isolating disease....and in the meantime provide help, advice and support for those affected by dementia including carers and families.
