Story
I am taking part in the BRAIN TUMOUR RESEARCH JUMP FOR HOPE on 8 June 2024 at Whitchurch.
My husband, Chris was diagnosed with a Gioblastoma brain tumour in October 2016, and sadly died in March 2018. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. We as a family feel at the age of 64 he was taken away from us far too early, because of this cruel disease. The loss that me and my family have had to endure, and also the fact that so many more young people of dying of this, I feel very strongly about supporting Brain Tumour Research. If my husband, Chris, was still alive he would take on this challenge, and he would tell me to ‘Go for it!’ So I am doing this challenge in memory of my husband and best friend, Chris.
This is why I am trying to raise as much as I can by being sponsored doing the JUMP FOR HOPE on 8 June 2024. Your support will be really appreciated.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer and just 12% survive beyond five years. These terrible statistics, along with devastating stories of loved ones affected by brain tumours, mean that it is important that we work together to #FundTheFight and help raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research.
By taking on this Jump for Hope, I will be doing exactly that.
