We bring hope and empower positive change to transform lives and communities

Story

I work for Church Army as Faith Empowered Development Officer, am married to Syd and have 2 adult children.

I have an incomplete spinal cord injury at c4/5 (in my neck) which affects my arms and legs. My upper body is very weak, especially on my left side, and I use a wheelchair to get around.

On 12th May I will physically be doing the Malvern Hills End to End walk (9 miles) to raise money for Church Army, which has been empowering people to transform their local communities through faith shared in words and action for almost 150 years. Church Army works with those living on the margins from homeless women and youth, to those affected by knife crime, to families struggling to make ends meet. Please help me to raise as much as possible to support this wonderful cause.

For this challenge I am going to have to train really hard as my upper body is quite weak. I will be hitting the gym, doing both strength and cardio training. Building up stamina will also be important. On top of this I will be swimming, doing my version of Pilates/Yoga and, most importantly, pushing my wheelchair out and about. I will be using a all terrain wheelchair

Please support me and my team either by donating as you can, sharing my links to this page or giving me encouragement and support in the training and on the day.

Thank you!
