Unfortunately, four years ago our son Eddison fell ill and developed bronchiolitis. He was admitted to the intensive care unit for five days over Christmas 2019. The care he received whilst there was incredible. We were a lucky family because without the treatment he received, he would not have made it through. I vowed at the time to undertake a challenge to raise as much money for Friends Of PICU as possible. Due to Covid and a lack of time, the opportunity to realise my vow has arrived. I am attempting to cycle from John O Groats to Lands End (1050 miles). Camping when needs be. This unit cares for critically ill children from across the South of England and Channel Islands.
