The date of May the 11th for this event was a great choice after having to cancel the initial challenge in Sept last year, We are raising funds this year to help 3 charities in East Lothian, so as a tribute to my mate Sandy Henderson's dad Alex ( A wonderful Gentleman) we have decided to raise funds for Leuchie house (https://www.leuchiehouse.org.uk/ ), Walk with Scott (https://walkwithscottfoundation.co.uk/), and Beyond Boundaries East Lothian (https://bbel.org.uk/) In his name.

These charities do an amazing job helping people in need, Leuchie on the Neurological conditions front giving much needed respite breaks, WWS helping people and other charities in the local community on many fronts and BBEL who do amazing work again with people of differing ages and conditions to get out on a bike(Many different options) or get on to the water again many options available there also, just look at what they are doing for me, a wheelchair on a Paddleboard WOW!!

Our plan for me and 6 helpers to navigate our way from North Berwick West Beach along to BBEL's HQ in Prestonpans around Fidra Island and along the Forth, Weather and tide permitting, It took us 6 hours on the Water and we covered a total of 14.57 miles Thanks to all who helped, including, Mel from Beach Wheelchairs, Mike from Leuchie, Jess and the crew of our Rescue Boat and Lynne and Alan from WWS, all that remains to do is to thank, Steven Nelson, Adele, Shan, Amanda, Sophie and Lillie may for the graft on the day to make this crazy idea happen.
