We sadly lost our dear friend (and local celebrity) Richard Hilton in December 2022. We’re almost a year on and he’s left a huge void in so many lives. For some of our regular fundraisers, the last time we were with him was at the finish line for last years fundraiser, ironically for #TeamSolan, who had supported him so much during his illness.

Our fundraiser this year will be a non-stop 39 mile hike across Weardale and County Durham to Richie’s favourite place Sacriston CCC. The hike will commence in Allenheads on Friday 1st December and finish at lunchtime on Saturday 2nd December. The group will hike overnight across the moors in the wonderful British winter weather.

We’d welcome any donations big or small which will go directly to Team Solan, a Cancer Trust here in Co Durham.

The money we raise will go towards bringing support and a little bit of light to local families affected by Cancer this Christmas.
