Hi, my name is Georgia and I work as a peer support coordinator for CHSS, covering Fife, Forth Valley and Lothian.

On 27 November 2022, I lost the most important person in my life suddenly and unexpectedly, my auntie Claire. She was my whole world, my best friend, my second mum.

As her passing was a result of one of the conditions we help support in CHSS (chest, heart, stroke and long covid), I will be taking part in the fire walk this Friday with my wonderful colleague Alexia! 🔥

My auntie Claire made tiny changes to earth through her unending kindness, compassion, empathy, warmth, patience and, of course, her stubbornness. She was my biggest cheerleader. I aim to tackle this firewalk with her as my cheerleader and her stubborn spirit helping me across those coals! 🤭

I kindly ask all my friends and family, please consider donating money to this amazing charity that helps support people living with our conditions.

She would find me doing something like this hysterical, and I promised her I would keep having fun and laughing. Here’s to you, Auntie C ❤️

On Friday 16 February 2024 at 5:30 PM, Georgia and I will graciously leap across burning coals like fearless swans. I will be doing so in honour of the people living with our conditions (chest, heart, stroke & long covid) and their amazing families and friends; my commitment to them is unwavering. Our feet may be a little toasty as a result, but this pales in comparison to the bravery and determination that our service users show as they learn to navigate their new lives.

My CHSS colleagues are superheroes and do their utmost every single day to ensure that no life is half lived. Fundraising allows us all to keep doing our work, continuously improve the way we do it, and reach more people who need our support.
