Story
The Fundraising Team & Marketing & Communications Team - pictured from left to right, Poppie, Rebecca, Lauri, Rachael, Katie, Sophie & Becca - and Buxton FC Chairman David Hopkins - pictured bottom left - will be walking a MARATHON on Thursday 22nd June! We will be setting off from Matlock FC and stomping all the way to Buxton FC, making sure the journey is 26.2 miles minimum. The team are walking in an area where Blythe House Hospicecare & Helen's Trust provide an amazing amount of care & we can't wait to promote our important charity along the way with the additional support of Buxton FC Chairman and Blythe House Hospice Patron, David Hopkins.
The team are so excited to take on this challenge together, following on from our Snowdon at Night challenge last year we really wanted to push ourselves again this year. The walk is going to be tough but we are ready! We really appreciate all of your support and want to raise as much money as possible for our amazing charity.
Blythe House Hospicecare & Helen's Trust provide free care and services to adults and children who are affected by life-limiting illnesses, across the High Peak, Hope Valley, Derbyshire Dales and North East Derbyshire.
The hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith provides patients with specialist clinics, physio, occupational therapy, carer support, counselling & bereavement support.
The Hospice at Home service covers the whole of North Derbyshire, enabling patients with advanced illness to be cared for at home, and to die at home with their loved ones by their side, if that is their wish.
