Story
On the 17th May I’m doing my first ever half marathon, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚…and running in memory of one of my dearest friends Erin, my brother in law Nick, my father in law Alan and my dear Grandma Lilly ❣️
After a 10 year hiatus from running more than a couple of km's, and now very much in my middle age, I underestimated how much work this would be….started late - got an injury - fixed the injury - got two bouts of tonsilitis at Easter - questioned my life choices….but training is done, miles clocked, the bib arrived and it seems it's happening! 😬
Macmillan do amazing work, funding the specialist nurses who support people living with cancer and the families navigating it. Almost all of their work is funded by donations, so even the smallest contribution has an impact.
I’ve left the fundraising late (perhaps as a way to back out more easily!) - but if you can spare any pennies I’d be SO grateful 🙏
Promise to try really hard to be less 🐢 and more 🐆
Please send me luck (lots of it) and I’ll keep you posted on the other side!
Big love xx
