Story
On the 5th of July 2023, Mike McGrane my (Father in Law) was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, a rare brain tumour that no known treatment can cure. This awful news shook the whole family and after a brave and courageous fight against this awful disease, Mike sadly passed away exactly 12 weeks to the day of his diagnosis.
So in 2024, in Mike's memory, I've set myself a challenge to help raise awareness and to raise money for the "Brain Tumour Research Charity" to help find a cure for this awful disease, that has had no breakthrough in treatment for over 20 years.
The challenge I've set myself is to run 2 Half Marathon’s and 1 Marathon on the below dates:-
25th February- Llanelli Half Marathon
23rd June - Wales Long Course Marathon
6th October- Cardiff Half Marathon
I would greatly appreciate any donations that you would so kindly like to give.
Many thanks,
Dylan.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
