Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Story

I am going to try and drag my 56 year old body round the Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 25th this year. MND is a hideous illness which took the life of my grandad, Arthur Brook, and has more recently taken the lives of Fernando Ricksen, Rob Burrows and Doddie Weir.

Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Your donation will help us find treatments to slow, stop and reverse the effects of MND.

All donations are processed through the University of Edinburgh Development Trust before going directly to the Euan MacDonald Centre.
