Story
In May 2025, I suffered a severe, traumatic brain injury and spent 3 and a half weeks in an induced coma.
I did the London marathon last year 2 weeks before the injury, and it is the last moment I remember before the injury . I had to completely re learn to talk, eat and walk.
By doing the London Marathon 11 months after being in a coma, I am showing other people and trying to help them know that recovery is always possible. Every mile I run isn’t just closer to the finish it is showing and helping over people realise recovery is possible and life is never over after a serious injury.
I will be running the London marathon this year and supporting the Frimley health charity. They support the hospital and the teams who help people rebuild their lives after life changing injures and prove that an injury is never the end.
Every step is closer to recovery.
