Hi my name is Damon and I am the Business Development Manager at Northampton Town F.C Community Trust. I have a passion for running having used it as part of my work life balance and setting myself personal goals. I have previously ran the London Marathon and have nearly completed 250 Parkruns across the country.

I'm raising money to support children in poverty in Northampton with the view that all the funds raised will go to Northampton Town Community Trust to support the key individuals in their schools are in their home life and give them opportunities to be involved in activities around by Northampton Town community trust. The money raised will go to the education department at Northampton Town Community Trust to spend on the following areas:

• Offset the costs for schools who currently access the Primary Stars Programme (that will be used towards their Mentor where they are working with children who are in poverty)

• to pay for Educational Takeover Days within in school in a demographic of high deprivation

• to fund programmes such as Team Talk (looking at targeted children for Mental Wellbeing)

• subsidising places on our holiday soccer schools programme & transport (for those who cannot access this due to their circumstances)

• funding equipment or kit for children to use at school or in grassroots opportunities.

There are 7500 children in poverty across Northampton and I am going to run a total of 750kms in 12 weeks which is an average of 62.5kms per week. It will start from Monday 13th March until Sunday 4th June. As part of my journey of ticking of the kms I will be joined by pupils from our NTFC Community Trust Partner Schools across Northamptonshire along with Clarence the Dragon the club mascot.
