Story
If you’d told me a year ago that I’d voluntarily sign up to run 26.2 miles (and have to pay for the pleasure might I add) I’d have laughed in your face.
Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a runner, yet here we are…
The London Marathon has always been on my bucket list, I have no idea why, I hate running. But this felt like the perfect opportunity to challenge myself while raising money for an incredible cause.
I’ll be running for Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG), a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer.
I’m under no illusion that this is going to be easy and there will be plenty of moments where I’ll question why I thought this was ever a good idea (I already am)
My fundraising target is £2,200 and I’d be so grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. Every penny raised will go towards helping children and young people with cancer and supporting the research that gives families hope for the future.
Thanks for reading this far and supporting me on this slightly crazy journey. Best get my arse up and start running.
There better be an aperol waiting for me at the end or this will have all been for nothing x
