Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Celia was diagnosed with Parkinsons over 10 years ago and hid it very well for many years. In recent times it became more challenging and gradually she became less able to do things independently and so she moved to Surrey to be closer to Naomi and Abigail and live in a care home, which she really enjoyed. She was there for just 4 months before a fall left her with a broken hip and arm and a stay in hospital that lasted more than 2 months. She never fully recovered from the fall and was facing the prospect of not being mobile, which for her was a terrible thought. With dementia playing a part she was well looked after by some wonderful people in a nursing home in the last 3 weeks of her life. She passed away peacefully with Naomi holding her hand, after putting up an astonishing fight.
