Story

Dear friends,

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I am Caroline, an 83 year old lady on a mission. Last October, after 56 years of marriage, my beloved Michael lost his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). His courageous spirit lives on, inspiring me every day.

As a tribute to Michael, I am running the Great North Run. After a hip replacement late last year and with Streak my dog by my side, I am training daily around the parks in Tunbridge Wells to prepare me for the gruelling 13 miles in September.

I am raising funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, founded by Doddie Weir OBE, a rugby legend turned MND advocate. The "5" symbolises Doddie's playing number and embodies the strength and determination needed to fight this devastating disease. Their vision is clear: A World Free of MND.

Together, we can honour Michael's memory and make a difference in the lives of those suffering from MND.

A heartfelt thank you to my family and friends for their unwavering support.

Much love to you all,

Caroline
