Story
Little Bruce was just a baby at only six months old when he came into our care through no fault of his own. Tragically he was a victim of over-breeding which has created numerous painful joint issues for him, including cherry eye and sometimes regurgitating food if eating too fast.
When he arrived we were able to find an experienced foster home for Bruce as he is very young and struggled to support himself on the surface of our kennel floors.
In spite of his difficult start in life, he has the sweetest nature and is determined to do well with the cards he has been dealt. Following a skeletal x-ray and assessment, it appears that Bruce has a healthy bone structure but will now need a neurological assessment. We would like to do everything we can to help and support him in these first few tricky months, whilst we get the best care for him moving forwards.
We know that specialists come at a price and, as a small rescue with very limited resources we are therefore are reaching out to our wonderful supporters to please help us, if you are able to, by making a donation—even something small will go a long way for this little puppy who is fighting for a proper chance at life.
If you aren’t able to make a donation, please help us to spread the word about Bruce or leave a message of support—anything is gratefully received and really helps to spur us on!
Beautiful Bruce has had such a difficult time in his first few months, we really want to help him live a safe, happy and enjoyable life, free from discomfort and pain.
Thank you so very much, from the bottom of our hearts, and from everyone in the RATS team. We couldn’t do what we do and continue to save the lives of innocent animals without you. We will update you on Bruce's progress on our social media pages so please check in.
