Story
We are pleased to inform you that our annual Charity Walk Day will be held on Friday 13th September. The walk is dedicated to raising money for Cystic Fibrosis Trust as nominated by the year groups, and your child has the opportunity to contact friends and relatives for sponsorship ahead of the walk itself.
Pupils in Year 10 will walk out from School to Cranbrook, using local footpaths, returning via Goudhurst. The walk is approximately 10 miles.
Pupils in Year 11 will walk around Bewl Reservoir. This walk is a challenging walk of more than 10 miles.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
