Story
After years talking about it, I will finally be running my first marathon at 47.
Whilst 47 isn't considered 'old' in today's world, I can assure you that my body feels the effects of being a perimenopausal mum of three, nearing 50 - creaky leg joints, arthritis in my lower spine, toes with arthritis and left knee with hardly any cartilage.....I'm hoping feeling younger mentally will be my saving grace.
I am taking on this challenge to support the WOLO Foundation.
WOLO is a small but mighty charity based in Sussex. The WOLO team are currently supporting over 100 families facing cancer challenges.
WOLO holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. Every single pound and penny donated will go directly towards helping these families navigate their cancer journeys.
I lost my mum 9 years ago to cancer, ten weeks from diagnosis. I wish my family had a charity like WOLO to support us all through a very dark time.
Life is precious—we must make the most of it because We Only Live Once (WOLO).
Please consider donating what you can to support WOLO; whether it's £1 or £250, every contribution makes a difference. Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
Lots of love, Sarah X
