Well I am not sure where the idea came from, but here we are! In April 2024 both myself and Cath will be running the London Marathon in support of Sue Ryder...Hopefully we'll still be married at the end of it all!

As many of you will know, Cath's Mum was given amazing care by all the staff at St Johns Moggerhanger in her final days and she has always wanted to run a marathon in her memory.

There are very few people locally that haven't seen the amazing work the team at Sue Ryder do so its a huge honour that we have both been offered a spot on the marathon team to try and raise the much needed funds they need to maintain the high standards of vitally important care.

We've set a fundraising target of £5,000 - to reach that we'll be holding events throughout the year (quizzes, curry nights, etc.) but this will be our main fundraising page for donations.

Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
