Story
This 14th - 15th May 2024, join us on a formidable quest as we tackle the National Three Peaks Challenge. Our mission is straightforward yet demanding to summit Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours. Our greater aim, however, is to raise funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, in support of those who have served our country, and their families.
Why SSAFA? As an ex-soldier and alongside my best friend Deane, we're deeply aware of the invaluable support SSAFA extends to our service members, veterans, and their families. Their comprehensive aid ranges from emotional to practical support, often becoming a pivotal force in the lives of those who've served. On this challenge, it's not just the two of us hitting the trails; our dedicated driver, Stuart, is the unsung hero. His role is vital — navigating the roads while we navigate the peaks, ensuring we can rest and stay focused. Stuart's part in this journey is as crucial as each step we take up those mountains.
Organising this challenge is a significant undertaking, requiring meticulous planning, resilience, and resources. As a completely self-funded venture, every pound you donate on this page goes directly to SSAFA. Your support provides crucial assistance to those in need and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by those serving our country.
SSAFA stands out for:
• Tailored support for individuals during and after their service.
• Critical assistance to families grappling with loss and life-changing circumstances.
• Aid for veterans and serving personnel in financial distress, helping navigate military benefits and more.
By supporting our climb, you're reinforcing SSAFA's steadfast commitment to our armed forces community. Your generosity provides vital assistance to those currently serving, veterans, and their families, particularly in times of difficulty.
