Next party will be part of the Oxjam festival and all the profits will be donated to Oxfam.

Giant Steps are a young four-piece from London and Reading, who formed in the early part of 2010. They create a unique Soul Rock sound, with brilliantly crafted pop songs. Stevie Wonder meets the Rolling Stones. Kings Of Leon meets The Impressions. Whilst keeping elements of their blue-eyed soul roots, this is not just another pastiche Motown covers band. They have their eyes firmly fixed forward, crafting an excitingly new and refreshing sound. Giant Steps have all the ingredients to satisfy those crying out for the next big British band. Having just finished recording at The Motor Museum with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys/Foals), they are now set to embark on a handful of dates across London.

Lisaveta is a quartet from Paris, formed in July of 2006. Around Jérôme Ghern (guitar/vocals) are Stéphane Cocheteux (guitar), Alan Smithee (bass guitar) and Alexandre Place (drums). From the first recording sessions on, the band's work found itself at the crossroads of an eclectic range of musical influences. Sometimes sharp and screeching, sometimes faking naivete, the guitars whine, protest and illustrate Lisaveta’s filthily beautiful universe. Intertwined with original rythm sections, Stéphane’s musical flights on the Telecaster, loaded with emotion and bitterness, echo lyrics inhabited by dark fantasies. The practitioners of this new kind of rock are particularly committed to the relation between sound and word, into which they attempt to transpose the effects of an interior voice, and astonish the listener with loud, resonant, blazing tones, and a sway. A first demo was released in 2006; the voice, like wind, glides over the frozen track "La Banquise", a cold and disenchanted soliloquy... The track was played on local radio stations. The very same year, the band went and met their audience, feeding them an Indie Rock dripping with thick, efficient venom. A second five-track demo was produced in the beginning of 2007. Among the songs are the very cinematic « Nos Retrouvailles » with its furious swerves, as well as "Le Messager". In 2009, the band released its first EP, "L'Echelle de Mohs", with the label White Gloves, and continues to work on their first album.

Jenners Field’ve been making quite an impression on people, ever since those early gigs, back in 2005, when the South London four-piece were even more youthful and a few powerful new compositions were starting to emerge from a scramble of ideas.

The band's sound (wound tight round a groove one minute, arcing skywards the next) has been filled out with keyboards and harmonies, and the group has gained in stature with every gig, but that talent - that infuriating, inspiring talent - has always been in evidence. Back then you would have noticed the self-assurance and burgeoning charisma of singer Laurie; the strident rhythms courtesy of drummer Jed and bassist James; and the prodigious ability of guitarist Danilo, whose dazzling prowess is always at the service of the songs. And then they got even better, as it was obvious they would.

Last year, they’ve been writing at a furious rate, played Glastonbury to a rapturous reception and found themselves with a heap of new fans. This year will be even bigger for them. And time (and youth) is still on their side. The potential is almost overwhelming.
