Story

Please note we need your emails in order to register you for the retreat so be sure to add your email so we can reach you.

In a noisy world, sometimes we long for a moment to simply be quiet and rest.

During this time of Covid, while many have been forced into solitude and isolation, it has not always felt calm or comfortable.

And yet, our world is filled with silence.  A silence that helps us to listen, to be truly present to ourselves and others, to be tranquil and to heal.

Yet there are others who are silenced, not simply because of Covid but because somehow we choose not to hear them.  Those whose lives feel distant from ours, whose stories do not reach us, those who live behind a wall of noise.

As we emerge from lockdown together, can we cultivate an inner calm, a curious ear and a more compassionate heart?

This is an open invitation to join together in a time of quiet - a moment, an hour or an entire turn of the globe.  An experience of deep calm and reflection.  A mix of activity and rest as the sun rises and sets wherever we are.

Connection ~ Presence ~ Care

As The Globe Turns is a retreat for all, led by inspirational coach and leader, Maria Garvey, journeying together into the stillness at the centre of our turning world.

Via Zoom, this Retreat will run around one turn of the 24 hour clock, enabling people to join in a common experience spanning the solstice.

This will be a not for profit event recognising that while we take the Retreat, others are working to respond to Covid 19 in countries without voice, where the challenges are not being reported and the stories are not being told.

All funds raised will be donated to Medecins Sans Frontiers / Doctors Without Borders to support them in providing a programme of care and protection to people vulnerable to the pandemic and at risk of not being heard in their time of need.

The cost is by minimum donation of £16 to MSF to continue their work responding to Covid 19 across the world and once you donate and leave us your email details, Maria will respond to you with full details of the retreat.  PLEASE BE SURE TO ALLOW THE SITE TO USE YOUR EMAIL.

If you have any questions about the Retreat, please message maria@kridyom.uk

What your donation could pay for : - £16 can pay for a surgical tunic, trousers and a pair of sterile reusable gloves.- £28 can pay for protective plastic goggles for four doctors.- £58 can pay for sterile gloves for 30 medics.- £110 can pay for five protective suits to keep staff safe.

Thank you.
