Story
Hi everyone
To commerate the 75th Anniversary of The Battle of Britain I thought it would be a great idea to join my colleagues in raising money for The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. Having served in the RAF for 28 years I have seen first hand the importance the Charity can have on people's lives who have fallen either on hard times or just need some help to gain some quality of life.
Now that I am working for the RAF Benevolent Fund since leaving the service I cannot over emphasise the amount of fantastic work that goes on to ensure our beneficiaries needs or requirements are taken care of.
The money raised for this event will go to both current serving and ex-serving members of the RAF family to help them in their own hour of need.
I am looking forward to the many miles of training that need to be completed with oodles of barrier cream (!!!) before the 260 miles that need to be covered in 4 days for the event itself.
I am extremely grateful for your donation and I know some of you will pay just for the thought of seeing me in Lycra on a Brompton!!!!
