Story
Since a diagnosis of relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis in late 2007 and after a number of severe relapses I was hospitalised and wheelchair bound for 8 weeks. This was followed by 6 months of physiotherapy where I learned to walk again.
This had a profound effect on me, knowing that my ability to walk
could be taken from me at any time. Since then I’ve been highly
motivated to challenge myself to do and achieve as much as possible as
soon as possible, despite the condition. Traveling with any spare time I have, to try to climb higher, trek further and dive deeper.
The latest challenge is by far the most ambitious to date, where I will attempt to learn to drive in 5 days followed by a self-funded
12,000 mile overland adventure to Siberia with Rachel.
As part of this latest adventure, we'd like to raise awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis society to help fund research to help find a cure for the 100,000 diagnosed in the UK and many more worldwide.
We set off at the end of July 2016 and you can find out more and follow our adventure here:
