Story
We are raising money to support a great local charity - 1625 Independent People who help support 1300 young people in Bristol who are homeless or at risk of homelessness through emergency temporary supported housing, skills confidence building, education, training, and jobs.
You can support us by donating here.
We will bring you updates throughout the night live on BCFM Radio, and on the One Love Breakfast show, but we also need your help to raise much needed money for this great local charity to enable them to support some of the most vulnerable young people.
Every donation counts, and we thank you for your support.

To give you an idea of where the money goes, it costs:
£4 a day to cover a young person’s bus fare so they can access our skills courses or attend interviews.
£10 for an hour’s counselling session.
£20 for one of our service users to participate in one of our cookery workshops - showing young people how they can make nutritious, tasty food on a budget. And they get to eat what they make!
£50 for an “Indykit” - a start up kit to give a young person the
basics to get them started on the road to living independently. These are tailored to the individual young person’s needs but
would typically include bedding, crockery, cutlery, toiletries, cleaning stuff, a towel, and food.
£150 to provide the materials and staffing for a young person to be able to attend one of our four-week upcycling courses- giving old furniture a second life, learning new skills, how to save money and helping the environment all at the same time.
