Story
Hello I'm Oliver and I love swimming. I am working really hard to become an even better swimmer, that's why I want to be the youngest person to complete the 2011 Aspire Channel Swim - it will be my first swimming record!
The furthest I have ever swum is 70 lengths (1750 metres) in one go doing my favourtie stroke - front crawl. I did this in February 2011, when I was still five.
Now I am six, my swimming teacher Simone suggested I might like to try this new challenge, which means I have to try and swim 118 lengths every week for 12 weeks - it will be the equivalent of swimming the Channel. It's going to be hard work and my Daddy is going to have to swim with me, but I am going to do my best. My swim starts on 12 September and finishes on 4 December 2011.
Please encourage me by sending your messages of support - I love to get these. Save my blog to your favourites it's at http://oliverschannelswim.blogspot.com
