Fundraising for Whizz Kidz
Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Well - I did it! My finishing time was 4:34:12 - a little slower than predicted. But I did it without walking ANY of it and I can honestly say it was one of the most inspiring days of my life. I was lucky enough to have no less than 5 teams of supporters who managed the daunting task of popping up in a total of 12 different places around the course to cheer me on - to say nothing of the stupendous crowd who happily urge on anyone with their name on their running vest.
For anyone who hasn't yet done so it's not too late to sponsor me online. (This page closes on 17th June - so there's still tons of time!) Every pound raised on this site will be matched by Illyria - so please be as generous as you can.
For my first marathon I've been raising money for Whizz-Kidz. This is a charity which is close to my heart because it gives children independence which they might not otherwise enjoy. Please visit their site and see some of the wonderful work they do.
