On Friday 28 June I'm joining hundreds of staff, students, alumni and friends of the University to walk through the Peak District, completing either 23 miles or 37 miles for Sheffield Scholarships.

Scholarships are vital to reduce barriers for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to have a university education.

I've done the walk before but missed it last year so thought I'd take it on again this year right before I head off on holiday where I'll be walking around cities and museums all week.

So please make me breaking my feet again be worth it to help young people from all over get the chance to study at Sheffield, and go on to make a difference in the world across all sorts of professions and walks of life.
