Dear Families & Friends
A new year. A new challenge. 'Cuz life without a challenge is just a big yawn. This time, I challenge myself by taking part in my very first marathon in Dubai on Jan 25, 2013.
In all honesty, my training, thus far, has been quite grueling. Little did I realize that training to conquer 42.195k would nearly brought tears to my eyes because of the physical self-torture. But then I quickly learned that my suffering is nothing compared to what many unfortunate mothers and children in this world have gone through in their lives. These are the people in need, whose strengths have virtually inspired people like me going through challenges in our own lives.
So, allow me to thank them for being my inspiration by doing the least I could do for them. I chose the Foundation for Mother and Child Health (FMCH) as their deeds around health, nutrition, education and sustainable skills training programs for mother, children and community health works, particularly in Indonesia, have utterly impressed me. I hope their initiatives will inspire many of you too.
If you would like to support them, you can simply donate through my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. On behalf of JustGiving and FMCH, I’d like to thank you for your supports and contributions.
Have a blessed day.
