Team Flamingo came third in the Ladies category, with an impressive total of 16 laps – 176km! The girls were hot on the tail of the second place team all through the night, being national riders they were surprised by the tenacity of the first time Flamingos!

Flamingos cycle all night for charity
Four local Exeter girls will be having a sleepless night when they take part in the challenging all-night nightrider competition on the 28th April. This is the first time the race has been held in the South West and will see competitors racing from 8pm to 8am in pitch-blackness on one of the most treacherous courses in the country.
Team Flamingo consists of Amy O’loughlin, Carrie Burgess, Laura Marshall and Gemma and their aim is threefold; to raise money for charity, promote cycling and finish the race! Amy, who owns the South West’s only rickshaw company Lilypeds, can regularly be seen taxiing people around the streets of Exeter.
