Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have struggled with my weight all my life, with it fluctuating for as long as I can remember. I don't doubt that at times in my life I have bordered with my obesity on category 2 diabetes, and with family members having diabetes I am at a high risk.
I feel this is the perfect time for me to draw a line in the sand, kick myself up the bum and shift my excess weight once and for all so that my risk drops dramatically. However I want to help others as I do it. Sooooo on 1st September 2015 I will Leave Hunstanton Peir and walk round part of the Coast line of Norfolk, then across to broads down to the opposite coastal town of Gorlston. The route I intend to take is:
- Hunstanton to Cromer (45 Miles)
- Cromer to North Walsham, via Mundesley (13 miles)
- North Walsham to Stalham (9 Miles)
- Stalham to Hoveton (7 miles)
- Hoveton to Ludham (8 miles)
- Ludham to Stokesby (8 miles)
- Stokesby to Gorleston-on-Sea (12 miles)
This walk should take between 5 and 6 day's, and for me to achieve this I HAVE to loose weight. I have 21 weeks until I do this, that means I can realistically loose 42lb of excess weight.
I currently weigh 16 stone and 6lb. When I reach Stalham on Thursday 3rd of September I will weigh in with my Weight Watchers Leader at my meeting, and should see 13 stone 4 lb on the scales.
It's never easy to loose weight, it's never easy to walk 102 miles, it's never easy to decide which cause to give money to or to sponsor, so please please please help me to help others with an illness that is not always thought of but effects so many lives in so many way's, if nothing else you will have helped me to help myself.
Thank you for your time.
