News - CHALLENGE COMPLETED!!!

Well guys, we chuffin well did it!!!

Now the pair of us are home and have caught up on a bit of sleep!

We covered 1,564 miles in 3 1/2 days - using bio-diesel, Red Bull, Pro-Plus and Pot Noodles to fuel us!!!
We are both very, very, very proud of our achievement and had Royal approval from HRH Countess of Wessex on Monday of the Royal Show!!! (Just for confirmation, grab a road atlas and look where we travelled too and from each day...it's a tall order in a car over 3 1/2 days - let alone a tractor!!!)
With mentions on BBC Radio1, BBC Radio 2, Radio Essex, Radio Devon, BBC Midlands Today and Welsh TV as well as all the press coverage that will be forthcoming - we have achieved our aim! Now is the time to push our fund raising figure - if you have not sponsored us, please dig deep to a R.A.B.I., a fantastic cause that has helped individuals very close to our hearts!

The Plan
The Tractor kindly supplied by New Holland leaves the New Holland Tractor Plant in Basildon, Essex on Wednesday 27th June 2007 and embarks on it's travels to the most eastern, northern, western (Wales) and Southern points of England and Wales before returning to the NAC Stoneleigh, Warks, in time for the Royal Show - driven by Dan Halliday and Bryce Mackellar (NFYFC Vice-Chairmen).
The Tractor will run on B100 Biodiesel KINDLY DONATED BY Petrochem Carless Limited.
The aim is to up the profile of NFYFC and promote our superb youth organisation to the British general public, we also aim to raise a bit of money on the way also!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you!
Please be generous, RABI is a fantastic charity linked closely to many of our hearts.

Many thanks for your support.

Dan Halliday and Bryce Mackellar (NFYFC Vice-Chairman 2006/07).
