Story

Help us build our new ship!

Sea Cadets are fundraising for a new flagship. Across the country we're asking all 400 Sea Cadet units to get on board with this massive appeal to raise 250,000 to help toward the cost of a new ship.

Why do we need a flagship?

Since 1971 the Sea Cadets flagship TS Royalist has been taking cadets on a voyage at sea where they can experience the most exhilarating challenges. Whether it’s hoisting the sails or navigating the waves, nothing compares to the feeling of being out at sea, taking on challenging nautical training and pulling together with other cadets to safely navigate Britain’s coastline. This is teamwork taken to another level.

Why is it so important?

To make sure that Sea Cadets will keep having this chance, we need to raise enough funds to build a replacement. Royalist is over 40yrs and coming to the end of her working life. Our new ship will make sure we continue to offer thousands of cadets the chance to sail at sea until the mid-21st century.
