From March through June 2020 I will be taking part in legs 6 and 7 of the 2019-2020 Clipper Round The World Yacht Race.  First sailing across the mighty Pacific Ocean from China to the west coast of the USA and, from there, on to New York via Panama and the Caribbean.

The Clipper Race pitches eleven identical 70ft racing yachts, each crewed by around twenty amateur sailors (and one professional skipper and mate), against each other in a 40,000 nautical mile race around the world.  It is one the biggest challenges of the natural world and an extreme endurance test that sees the teams battling extreme heat, cold, mountainous seas, epic storms and everything in between.

Over the course of 2018 and the first half of 2019 I have been undertaking the necessary training before the yachts depart from St. Katherine's Dock in London on September 1st.  I will then fly out to China in March 2020 where I'll join my crew, prep the boat and then head out across the ocean.

Unicef UK is the official charity of the Clipper race and our team has a target of £33,000 to reach over the next year.
